I’ve been wondering whether the most difficult part of a dissertation is actually getting started, rather than doing the research itself. Some students seem to struggle with narrowing their topic, while others have trouble keeping their writing organised once they begin. I recently came across write my dissertation and was curious about how other students approach the early stages. Do you usually create a detailed plan first, or start researching and develop the structure along the way?
